π¬Wanjiku
has always given her views positively on public participation. Though not much
gained, she has known her needs since 1963 and long before. It becomes a shock
to receive a curriculum, tailored in a manner contrary to her proposals and
wishes. She has had no one to listen to her grievancesπ. Grievances
born from the education system she wanted, but, then short-changed by the
brokers that be. This habit of overlooking Wanjiku should not be entertained
for long. Why subject Wanjiku to public participation, and thereafter trash
their opinions? Why spend public funds on public participation that will never
be considered? If this persists, then, sit in an office and come up with an
education system of your choice. No more time wasting with Wanjiku!
Kenya has
depended chiefly on agriculture and tourism for foreign currency earnings.
These two, then, must be treated specially. All economies worldwide are thirsty
for foreign currency. Kenya needs foreign currency too for its development.
With a good education system that addresses such global based economic issues, the nation finally will succeed as expected. A rich nation will be
stable and carter for its citizen with ease.
Wanjiku
has always proposed for agriculture and tourism, be taught at all levels in our
education system. This has never been done. The planners must reconsider this
proposal. Agriculture and tourism should be made compulsory subjects. This
should be implemented from preprimary to university. Made compulsory in such a
way that it should not matter the career one is pursuing. Whether one is taking
a medical doctorate, engineering courses, education, actuarial science,
journalism, political science, nursing, pharmacy, and all other careers,
agriculture and tourism should be included, as compulsory subjects.
Long after
pursuing the career of choice, It is possible to end up doing either
agriculture, tourism, or both in the end. Skills acquired in both agriculture
and tourism shall be used by the graduates in acquiring employment or
self-employment. Too much tarmacking shall come to an end. Agriculture and
tourism shall always remain alive. Foreign currency shall be earned boosting
the economy of our nation. Prosperity, in general, shall be realised, with both
the youths and the elder putting money in their pockets. Health shall prevail
among Kenyans. Indeed a wealthy nation is a healthy nation.
Respect Wanjiku’s Intellectuality
Do not
underrate Wanjiku. Though not much learned, as renowned educationists, they
have a special instinct that can turn over the education benefits in this
nation. Wanjiku is not biased whatsoever. They give opinions based on the
reality on the ground, without discrimination. Respect Wanjiku and no complaints
shall emerge after the implementation of the new education system. It is
painful that the collection of views through public participation is a tedious
duty, but not respected. The collected views are received by educationists,
who, with the help of politicians, manipulate the original report, to suit who
it matters. To Wanjiku’s surprise, their report is killed and dear! This
killing must be killed! Let Wanjiku be respected, heard, and recognized.
Yes,
Agriculture And Tourism In The System.
